A writer, editor and professor of writing and critical thinking, Kathleen began her career in art in 2007 in conjunction with her work in the botany department of the Everglades National Park. She is passionate about native plants and  began illustrating the plants she was surveying. Kathleen created trail guides and signs for the park and curated botanically botanically-themed art exhibits for the Park and beyond.  An award- winning artist, Kathleen has displayed her work in solo and group shows. She works in watercolor, colored pencil, graphite and ink.
